What did the business need?

In March of 2017, Carousel partnered with management to recapitalize CCG IQ and invest in management’s plan to continue developing and scaling best-in-class technology and processes with broad applications to the insurance claims ecosystem.

What outcomes did we achieve?

In December of 2021, Fund V portfolio company, CCG IQ, merged with Donan, a forensic engineering and investigation firm, to create a market-leader in analytical claims services for the insurance industry (d.b.a. Alpine Intel). To facilitate this merger, the combined Company partnered with New Mountain Capital, a New York-based private equity firm, along with Carousel Capital and management in a majority recapitalization.

How did we create value?

  • Invested significantly in technology resources creating a fully automated claims processing platform

  • Provided resources and connections to help win and drive growth of new insurance carrier customers
